Benguela Cove ‘Lighthouse Collection’ Rosé 2025 Winemaking This rosé champions Shiraz as signature grape for this cool terroir and the vineyards were managed and farmed to preserve freshness and aromatics for the making of rosé. All grapes are handpicked and whole bunch pressed to keep colour and tannin extraction to a minimum. Ensuring further quality, only freerun juice was cold fermented with selected yeast strains. Shiraz grapes for rosé production are picked earlier for the freshness to come forward. The colour invites al fresco dining, a great start to the evening as the sun sets. Tasting Notes Peach pink in colour, the 2025 vintage opens with a delicious medley of fruit, florals and candied aromas that immediately feels inviting as an aperitif. Expressions of pomegranate, boiled sweets and red apple lead on the nose, followed by notes of strawberries and juicy watermelon that carry through to the palate. The texture is creamy yet refreshing, with enough acidity to keep things bright while the fruit and subtle sweetness linger, making each sip as mouth watering as it sounds.
