Saint-Joseph 350m Domaine Les Bruyeres 2020, biodynamic production, full bodied and eleagnt, peppery Syrah. The grapes are hand harvested, sorted and transferred into a vat using only gravity. Traditional vinification in concrete vats with some ‘Pigeage’ (pumping over to enrich the wine). The ageing is in demi-muids for 30% of the wine and in concrete vats for 70% during 12 months so no oaky flavours. There is no finning, and a light filtration with very little sulphur addition. This is a delightful and authentic northern Rhone syrah, dark fruits, spice and peppery notes combine with a lush yet mineral texture. Delicious. Is Vegan?
