The Albarinos from Forjas del Salnes are probably the best examples of the grape we have ever come across. Albarino is considered to be the Spanish gold of whites grapes for its colour and quality. If that’s the case then Albarino Finca Genoveva is 24 karat. The vines grow in very fast draining soils that have never had phylloxera due the sandy nature of the soil. As a result the vines have the original root stocks and are very, very old giving low yields and unique quality.
